How Our Network Works

Who you talk to

You talk to an independent concrete provider in our network. It is a local business, not Deservesgirlfriend Concrete. They know the soil, the weather, and the codes in your area.

What happens on the call

Say you call after dinner with a rough idea. A provider may ask a few simple things.

  • Where is the project, and how big is it?
  • Is the ground bare, grassy, or an old slab?
  • Do you want plain concrete or a stamped look?
  • What time frame are you hoping for?

Photos can help. Have your address ready. If the provider takes the job, they usually set up a visit to see the site.

What a site visit looks like

During a visit, a provider may measure the space and check the slope. They may look at where rain runs and where it pools. They may note trees, roots, gates, and buried lines. Walk the area with them and point out anything that worries you. This is the time to ask about the edges, the color, and the finish you want.

What to ask a contractor

Write these down before you talk.

  • How will you prepare the base and handle drainage?
  • What thickness and reinforcement do you plan to use?
  • How long before we can walk or drive on it?
  • Who handles permits, if any are needed?
  • Can I get a written quote that lists the work and materials?

Costs for concrete work vary by size, site, and finish. A written quote lets you compare options clearly.

You are in control

You can ask questions. You can talk to more than one provider. You can say no. Nobody has to hire anyone because they called. Slow down, start small.
